SDCC is on and so is the yearly Cartoon Art Museum's Sketch-a-thon

I don’t attend comic cons these days, but I do like to sketch for good causes. San Francisco’s Cartoon Art Museum is one of them. You can get a lovely watercolor and ink “sanity sketch” from me and support the museum. Go to https://www.cartoonart.org/calendar/2026/7/comic-con-sketchathon and select “Michael Jantze” and “Deluxe.”

And there are do many talented artists drawing sketch rewards for donations to the museum ranging from $25 to $500. This year’s roster includes some of our favorite graphic novelists: Jeffrey Brown (Darth Vader and Son), Gary Amaro (Sandman), and Judd Winick (Hilo), celebrated comic book artists Mark Badger (Batman, Dr. Strange), Michael Jantze (The Norm, Mr. Lux) and Alexis Fajardo (Kid Beowulf), among many others.
